E F T : Emotional Freedom Technique

WHAT IS IT?
EFT is a refreshing new approach that allows rapid freedom from the
effects of trauma, anxiety, anger, fears, phobias, cravings, depression,
anxiety, stress, and other emotional issues.  In essence it is a psychological
version of acupuncture except that instead of needles, clients stimulate relief
stress points by tapping on them with their fingertips. This provides a meridian
“balancing effect” that replaces emotional distress with a form of
peace.

OTHER FEATURES ARE:

· the results are usually long lasting

· the process is relatively gentle

· Most clients can apply the techniques to themselves, although the
use of a skilled therapist is recommended

· EFT often provides relief for physical pain, headaches, and
addictive cravings

We are still learning why EFT and similar energy psychology methods
work so well.  The existing theory is  that “ the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.” EFT balances the energy system by tapping on acupunture points while focusing the mind's attention on the problem or concern.
